Chasing Coral Brooch
Chasing Coral Brooch
This is one of three brooches created for the Magpie Exhibition 2020 created by Micki Lippe. Micki invited artists to choose a few found objects from her walk-about and hikes. Micki has used these objects in her own work throughout her career.
The found objects I chose are found plastics. I wanted to focus attention on the over use and production of plastics by manufacturers that in up in our oceans. Each piece is name after different ocean agencies who’s missions are conservation and eduction.
